+Cerise was summoned into the world as a child during a period of unrest along the western trade roads of the Queendom of [[locations:rosiere|Rosière]]. Like all [[lore:chosen|Chosens]], she arrived without memories, frightened and unable to understand where she had come from. The ritual that brought her into the world was performed by the [[factions:order_of_the_blooming_saint|Order of the Blooming Saint]], a religious institution known throughout Rosière for overseeing summoning rites and managing Chosens.

Though the sisters and knights of the Order spoke often of duty, compassion, and Saint Rose’s guidance, Cerise gradually realized many Chosens were still treated more as tools than people.
